I'm delighted that my bronze figurative sculpture "Soraya" has been selected for Le Grand Nu Contest at Untitled Factory in Montmartre, Paris. 32 rue Gabrielle, 75018, Paris . 11-18 November. Vernissage Saturday 10th November 6-9pm.
Soraya was made at at the Atelier Legendre, Paris where I spent more than 20 hours working directly with the model. I finished the piece at my place on rue Berthe and cast her into bronze in Dublin.
Untitled Factory is located on the next street upwards toward the Sacre Coeur from where I lived on rue Berthe in Montmartre but it wasn't there then. I remember meeting Maria and Jarek when they started Life Drawing Montmartre from the Petit Theatre de Bonheur (The Little Theatre of Happiness)
