Culture Night at Townhall Cavan

Culture Night at Townhall Cavan
20th September 2019

The sculpture exhibition entitled "A Day in the Life of a Border Town" is now on display at the newly refurbished Townhall Cavan. A state of the art Arts Centre in the heart of Cavan town, it will be utilised for all things creative.

Culture Night 2019 saw the doors open on the Cavan arts centre and showcased the figurative sculptures created during the PEACE IV project which I facilitated with a group of 15 participants alongside projects in literature, music, film and performance.

For more information on our ceramic sculpture project please go to the project page» on this website to see how it all came together.

The gallery is open this week 23-27 September, 2-5pm.

I will be invigilating on Wednesday 25 and Friday 27 September. Please come along to see this inspired exhibition of works made by local participants in "A Day in the Life of a Border Town"

We would like to sincerely thank our funders PEACE IV and Cavan County Council for this opportunity. The restoration of Townhall Cavan is a Cavan County Council initiative supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht through the Arts and Culture Capital Scheme and with Small Peace IV Capitol support.
